LimbView is a session logger for mirror imagery practice. This privacy policy explains what information LimbView collects, how it is stored, and what control you have over it.
Summary: LimbView keeps all your data on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers, cloud services, or third parties.
Important: LimbView is not a medical device or treatment. Mirror imagery practice should be recommended and supervised by a qualified healthcare provider as part of a treatment plan. Consult your therapist or doctor before using this app.
What LimbView collects and stores
Session data
When you use LimbView, the app records:
- Session date and time — when you started and ended a session
- Session duration — how long the session lasted
- Pre-session observations — your subjective observations (0–10 scale) before the session
- Post-session observations — your subjective observations (0–10 scale) after the session
- Intact limb side — which side you selected (left or right)
This data is stored locally on your iPhone only. It does not leave your device unless you choose to export it.
Camera access
LimbView requests permission to access your camera to display your live reflection during sessions. The camera is used only for real-time display:
- Live camera frames are shown during a session but never saved to disk
- Mirror images (the processed reflection side) are displayed during the session and deleted when you end it
- No camera data is transmitted to any server or third party
- No video or photo files are created or retained
Where your data stays
All session records are stored in local app storage on your iPhone only. They do not sync to iCloud, email, or any cloud service. If you delete the LimbView app from your phone, all local session data is deleted.
Exporting and sharing
LimbView provides an optional feature to export session history as a PDF file. When you choose to export:
- LimbView generates a PDF file on your device
- The app then invokes iOS's native share sheet, which is controlled by Apple, not by Docotia
- You choose where to send the PDF (email, Messages, Files, AirDrop, etc.)
- LimbView does not transmit, upload, or forward the file
- iOS handles all delivery to your chosen destination
You are in control of whether and where any export is shared.
Advertising and analytics
LimbView does not include:
- Advertising networks or ad SDKs
- Analytics or crash reporting
- Third-party tracking
- Cross-app or cross-device profiling
Third-party services
LimbView does not use third-party services that access your data. The app is self-contained and works entirely on your device.
Your choices and rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Delete sessions — you can delete individual sessions or all history from within the app
- Revoke camera access — you can remove camera permission at any time in Settings → Apps → LimbView → Camera
- Delete the app — deletes all local session data
- Control exports — you decide if, when, and where to export session data
Children and age eligibility
LimbView is designed for adults ages 13 and up. If you are under 13, please do not use this app. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Docotia, please contact us immediately at the email address below.
